From February 9 through 13, Havana will host the 13^th edition of the International Convention and Fair "Informática 2009", which will take place at the Havana´s International Conference Center and PABEXPO Fairgrounds. Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) as a support for the endogenous development and the peoples sovereignty is the main theme of the event that provides space for debating scientific-technical issues, exhibiting projects and initiatives that can put forward the countries aims and actions destined to boost the ICT in benefit of the social development.

Informática 2009 will encourage the exchange among professionals, scientists, technicians, entrepreneurs, government representatives, international organizations and the public as a whole interested in researching, promoting and analyzing the advance of the information technologies, telecommunications, electronics and automation as well as their applications in process.
